business news in context, analysis with attitude

  • The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) has announced that Lindsay Hutter, the organization’s longtime senior vice president of communications and public relations, will leave the association to join Hill & Knowlton U.S. as Senior Managing Director.

Hutter will join the public relations and public affairs firm to build its association-based practice. The move is effective October 21, after Hutter finishes up her work at the NACS convention in Orlando.

KC's View:
We’ve actually gotten to know Lindsay Hutter a bit over the past few months, as we helped NACS with its daily news service, and can say without reservation that we’ve rarely encountered anyone who is more professional, more hard-working, and more demanding of excellence from herself and others.

This is a terrific “get” for Hill & Knowlton…and NACS will certainly have its work cut out for it in replacing her, because she has been a tireless advocate for the convenience store industry. Of course, she’ll still be doing work for NACS from her new office at Hill & Knowlton, so we suspect that the retailing biz hasn’t heard the last from her.
