Concerned about the impact that the West Coast dockworkers lock out may have on the US economy, President Bush has decided to appoint a fact-finding board of inquiry.

Expectations are that when the board reports back in about a week, it will recommend that President Bush order that the lockout be discontinued.

With the docks closed up and down the West Coast and shipments into the country being frozen, there have been worries that the upcoming holiday sales season could be negatively affected.
