Clark Retail Group Inc. announced that it has filed voluntary petitions for
reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code "to alleviate short-term liquidity issues.” Not included in the Chapter 11 filing was the company’s White Hen Pantry subsidiary, which has more than 200 units in the Chicago area.
Management said it believed that the filing would insure that it could continue operating without any stoppages that would impact consumers.
