- The Penn Traffic Company has hired Mike Broomfield, the former COO of Giant Foods, as its Senior Vice President of Retail Stores, responsible for the operations and financial results of all 216 Penn Traffic supermarkets in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, upstate New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.
"Mike Broomfield brings more than 35 years of retail food experience and a proven track record to Penn Traffic," said Joseph V. Fisher, President and CEO of Penn Traffic. "His expertise will help us implement our long-term business strategies, which include enhancing merchandising and improving operations at all of our supermarkets.
