A quick word of thanks to all of you who have sent me notes of encouragement and advice as I readied myself for this weekend’s Marine Corps Marathon down in Washington, DC.
Maybe is it a sign of age, or just bad luck. But I’ve managed to tear up the tendons in my right knee, making a 26.6-mile run this weekend nothing but a fantasy. (Wait ‘till next year…)
Of course, Mrs. Content Guy has a different reaction. Considering the events transpiring in the Washington, DC, area these days, she doesn’t think that a knee injury is old age or bad luck.
She thinks it is proof positive that there’s a guardian angel looking out for us…
