Reuters reports that McDonald’s is testing a new "McDonald's 3'n1" format in Nebraska, offering its standard fast food, hot and cold sandwiches, and bakery and ice cream items under one roof.

"It's just one of the things people are working on and it creates a very strong pipeline for innovations," CEO Jack Greenberg said in a conference call, noting that during its first week, the restaurant did more than $70,000 in sales.

The three different food offerings share a common table area; customers can order from their tables by picking up a phone located there; there also is an area dedicated to picking up to-go orders.
