The Detroit Free Press reports that 450 Kmart employees who work at a Canton, Ohio, distribution center and who are represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 174 have voted to ratify their first union contract, a three-year deal.

The workers voted for UAW representation two years ago.

According to the Free Press, the deal guarantees a “grievance procedure, defined seniority rights, wage improvements, restrictions on involuntary overtime, the creation of a joint health and safety committee and company recognition of a union representation structure.”
