Clearly seeing the competition offered by Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts, 7-Eleven is testing a new "Dreammm" doughnut concept that is designed to lure customers away from the coffee-and-doughnut shops.

The test is being conducted in Hampton Roads, Va., and focuses on a new and improved glazed doughnut that has a “melt-in-your-mouth quality,” according to the company. If it works, expect the concept to be rolled out nationwide.
