- Wal-Mart Stores promoted John Fleming from COO to president and CEO of Walmart.com, a position that had been vacant since Jeanne Jackson left the company in December 2001. Fleming joined Walmart.com two years ago as chief merchant, and previously was senior vice president of merchandising for Marshall Fields.
