business news in context, analysis with attitude

After 84 years of being traded on the New York Stock Exchange, going back to the days in 1918 when it was known as S.S. Kresge, Kmart Corp.'s shares moved to the Pink Sheets electronic quotation system yesterday, delisted by the NYSE because they did not meet trading and price requirements.

In making the move, Kmart joined other well known names -- such as Enron and WorldCom. Evenutally, it will move to the Over-the-Counter Board.
KC's View:
It’s not a good day when your company name is in the same sentence as Enron and WorldCom.
