business news in context, analysis with attitude

Wal-Mart Canada announced that it will open four-to-six Sam's Club warehouse stores in Canada, this year, with three of the units planned for Ontario, Canada.

Wal-Mart reportedly will invest the equivalent of $40 million (US) in the three Ontario stores, scheduled for Vaughn, Pickering, and London.
KC's View:
Sam’s may be the weakest performing of Wal-Mart’s banners, but that doesn’t mean the company is getting out of the business. It probably just means that the Bentonville Behemoth will be even more relentless and focused in getting the club business back on track.
