The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that two years after Supervalu closed its Cub Foods store and left Atlanta, it will open two formats in the city: Save-A-Lot and Deals, Nothing Over a Dollar.
The paper says that Supervalu plans to open 35 grocery stores in Atlanta over the next five years, responding with price-oriented formats to an economy that is an “anemic” state.
