- Wal-Mart de Mexico (Walmex) reported that February same-store sales rose 4.1 percent. The 597-store Walmex had total sales for February that were the equivalent of $727 million (US), up 10.7 percent from February 2002.
- Gelson’s Markets posted annual sales that were up 2.4 percent to $401.4 million. Fourth quarter sales were up 0.3 percent to $103.9 million, and net income was 23.3 percent to $3.7 million. Same-store sales were even.
