McDonald's Corp. will announce today that it has installed wireless Internet connections at 10 of its downtown New York City restaurants, part of anew marketing agreement with Intel Corp.
The test will allow laptop users to connect to the Internet using wireless technology, and will be expanded to Chicago and California before the end of the year. Free limited access will be offered with the purchase of a combo meal.
Intel is expected to announce a similar deal with Borders shortly, which will have the technology installed in 400 stores.
