The Dutch government has created a new corporate governance committee that is responsible for developing a new code of conduct before the end of the year. The nation’s Finance Minister said that while the accounting scandal that seems to be enveloping Ahold wasn’t directly responsible for the committee’s creation, it did reinforce the need for stricter regulations.
