- There are reports that the UK’s Tesco is considering making a bid for Ahold’s stores in Poland, should the Dutch company decide to sell them. Ahold, already is selling its South American stores in order to generate cash, and it is unknown at this point what other assets it might be willing -- or forced – to part with.
