Restoration Hardware announced that it will open a new, smaller-format store this fall, with stores in California, Virginia and Ohio.
The goal, according to the company, is to “showcase core businesses” in footprints where a larger store either is not appropriate or cannot be accommodated.

- We mention this because we like the logic of creating new formats under familiar banners. It sort of falls in line with our thinking of banishing the term “same-store” from the industry vocabulary, of constantly looking to make stores different and unique.
