Borders Group Inc. said it plans to offer wireless, high-speed Internet access to customers in most of its 410 stores nationwide by mid June.
The service already is available in 145 stores in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas and Washington.
Customers reportedly can prepay for access, pay as they go, or get unlimited national access for a set fee.

We think this is a smart idea, but we’ll tell you something else.
We recently got an Airport system for our Mac laptop, which allows us to be wireless throughout the house…and, because it is hooked into the cable modem, the access is high speed broadband.
And we’ll never go back. It is just an amazing technological leap.
