Dow Jones reports that Fleming Cos. missed a second deadline for filing its 2002 annual report.
Originally, it was supposed to be filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on March 28, but got an extension to April 14. Fleming attributed the delay to continuing internal investigations into its accounting practices, a probe that also is being conducted by the SEC.
The new extension is for 14 days.

- We’ll see if the company comes up with answers in the next two weeks. We suspect there will mostly be more questions.
