I don't want you to forget me, and I don't want you to think I've forgotten you.
There have been a number of reports about the degree to which Amazon is playing hardball with its employees when it comes to its return-to-office policy. Without dissecting the relative merits of the policy, at least for the moment, I'd like to suggest that the way it has been communicated to staffers seems jarring, and an object lesson in how not to deal with the folks on the front lines.
