•  USA Today reports that Walmart has decided to keep its bricks-and-mortar stores closed again on Thanksgiving this year, the fourth year in a row that it has done so.

It is a trend that seems to be taking hold.  Target announced in 2021 that its stores always will be closed on Thanksgiving.

According to the story, "Last year on Thanksgiving Day, several well-known stores joined the group of retailers closing their doors for the holiday. Costco, BJ's, Kohl's, Lowe's, Home Depot, and TJX Companies were among them."
