•  BJ's Wholesale Club said yesterday that "Electronic Benefits Transfer for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (EBT SNAP) can now be used to buy groceries on the Instacart App and website for delivery in as fast as an hour across BJ’s 238 clubs. BJ’s is the first club retailer to accept SNAP via Instacart."

According to the announcement, "BJ’s customers can enter their SNAP card information as a form of payment on their Instacart profile, making it easy to use SNAP benefits when shopping on Instacart. They can also split the payment at checkout and use both their SNAP card and other payment methods to complete their weekly shop in one order."

United Parcel Service agreed to acquire Happy Returns, a software and reverse logistics company that handles returns for retailers, from PayPal … UPS Chief Executive Carol Tomé said that by combining Happy Returns’ digital experience with the package-delivery company’s small package network and brick-and-mortar locations, label-free returns will soon be available at thousands of locations in the U.S."

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
